Removable complete dentures replace all of your missing natural teeth. They replace missing natural teeth for the whole arch in upper and lower jaw or both.

Upper denture is held in its place by a vacuum forming between the denture and palate similarly the lower denture is horse shoe shape to accommodate tongue.

Mostly removable complete dentures are indicated for full arch of missing teeth when the patient cannot opt for other teeth replacement options like a dental implant due to any financial or medical issues.

For intraoral cancer patients these dentures not only replace the missing teeth but also portion of a missing part like hard palate of mouth and other surrounding structures.

As with any removable dental prosthesis, adjusting to your new dentures might take a little time and practice. When using dentures initially sometimes it gets uncomfortable for few weeks, so start consuming soft food stuffs cut into small pieces and then gradually return to your regular diet.

You should be careful while having hard and hot food items, avoid sticky and hard items. Remember to not use toothpicks while wearing dentures.
